Surprisingly, thus isn t as bad as Mather s other married man naive girl books The formula is pretty much the same, older married man with crazy wife has affair with younger, innicent girl She the girl finds out the truth, leaves him, and they meet years later He s mad at her, and it s all her fault for not loving him enough to be his permanent mistress Idiotic, but then you can t expectfrom Anne Mather But this one, was not as bad as the others, and that s saying something. I actually enjoyed this story, there was a lot of facts and complications but the hero and heroine finally found their way I was completely devastated about the heroes mom, Liz I couldn t believe after everything and how sweet she was, that she was killed off I nearly bawled my eyes out I would of loved to hear about the heroine getting pregnant from the heroes one night at Christmas with her but it was still a sweet ending never the less. Awful. What a vile family. The H lies by omission to the h about being married She breaks up with him when the wife comes to her and says she s pregnant The wife she did not know he had Later, during an argument, she yells at him about the deception and his defense is she never asked if he was married.Anyhoo, the plot is the h visits his parents at Christmas and lo and behold the H is there He s wounded literally and figuratively He was shot while reporting in some war torn African nation, Awful. What a vile family. The H lies by omission to the h about being married She breaks up with him when the wife comes to her and says she s pregnant The wife she did not know he had Later, during an argument, she yells at him about the deception and his defense is she never asked if he was married.Anyhoo, the plot is the h visits his parents at Christmas and lo and behold the H is there He s wounded literally and figuratively He was shot while reporting in some war torn African nation, butimportantly he s mad at her forhmmm having principles. His younger brother and family come Turns out little bro is as big a trouser snake as the older one as he tries to put the moves on the h as well. All in all a mess, and I am angry I wasted time reading it On top of all the deception that a conversation, yep COMMUNICATION, could have solved there was little chemistry between the two MCs view spoiler To top it off, the sweet little ole mother that wants them to get back together dies on the operating table while checking for a cancerous tumor Shockerama Very unpleasant hide spoiler 3.5 stars
